Panadería y Dulceria Baguette, House of Real French Bread and High Quality Pastry Store in Colon since 1970

Colon province has one of the best coasts, and a capital city that has everything to become the best in the country. A destination with access to the Panama Canal, the largest Free Zone on the continent, cargo and cruise ports, incredible gastronomy, a multicultural society, and even a bakery with the oldest stone-floor oven in Latin America.

French Bread Made from Original Recipe

Panaderia Baguette was founded in 1970, in the same location, on Calle 10 and Avenida Central. The French bread that they make is with an original recipe that when baked leaves it crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. This is achieved thanks to the fact that they use the oldest stone floor oven in Latin America, a regional record validated by the French company Pavailler that carried out a research in 2022. This historic oven gives a distinctive personality to each original recipe and keeps high quality in its products, pampering the palates of all people in Colon. They also supply bread to restaurants and shipping companies in the area, proving the great acceptance of their delicious breads.

Great Variety of Delicious Breads and Pastries

Panaderia Baguette and Pastry Store specializes in French bread, in its different sizes and shapes, such as the small and traditional micha, the most popular half baguette, the classic baguette bread, the jumbito, the jumbo and the peasant bread. Along with soft breads such as moña, pan bolita and the “tea biscuit” from Colon.

The star product of the house is bon bread, with its own recipe since 1970, standing out for its softness, aroma and flavor. However, the best complement to this bakery are the classic assorted pastries, such as little ears (orejitas), donuts, canelitas, horseshoes, guava handkerchief, fruit candies, banana candies, cupcakes, cañas, milk pie, brownies, coconut cookies, cherry baskets and some others. They also offer birthday cakes in different shapes and sizes, with one, two, or three levels, with the classic flavors and fillings, along with little glasses or cupcakes, highly requested by customers.

Second Bakery in Plaza Cativa

Panaderia Baguette currently has a second branch located at the entrance of San Judas in Plaza Cativa. Here, all the pastry products are made exactly with the same quality, with the difference that the bread is baked in a more modern oven, always respecting the recipes and processes of French bread. However, this bakery offers exclusive products, such as bread stuffed with white cheese, butter bread, bolita and moña bread (which, unlike the branch in ciudad de Colon, are egg bread).

Soon a Third Bakery in Margarita

On the other hand, Panaderia Baguette does not stay still, cause soon will open a third bakery in Plaza el Sol in the Margarita sector, on the way to the Atlantic Bridge. A bakery that will be focused on the Costa Abajo de Colon, Margarita, Espinar and surroundings. This business’s mission is to grow together with the people of Colon.

Handcrafted Quality and Guarantee in Each Product

At Panaderia Baguette, real French bread is made, an artisanal bread, with the looks, the flavor and weight. Along with bon bread and pastries, they are synonymous of quality and guarantee, with the best value for money on the market.
