Use of the Mask in Post-Pandemic Times

In our country, the vaccination process against Covid-19 has progressed over 70% of the population and has been intensifying it to achieve the long-awaited herd immunity soon. However, the Delta and Mu variants have entered the country, and science has identified them as highly viral.

The Great Question

Many people wonder that once the famous immunity is reached, the population still has to wear a mask. Everything indicates that the people will continue to use it, since although the vaccination has been carried out with Pfizer and Aztraseneca, which are highly effective in avoiding serious symptoms or hospitalization, the most vulnerable population will continue to be protected so that they are not exposed to the new variants. This is why the third dose vaccination started.

Relaxation with Mask

Measures throughout the country are being put into action to have more flexibility so that social and mass events gradually return to normal safely. However, it will remain mandatory until further notice, unless are controlled events where there are only people with their complete vaccination schedules.

In restaurants, people can take off their masks to eat, but they must put them back on after they are done. In the rest of the shops, the mask continues as mandatory use.

Enter Country Protocol

Upon entering our country, the mask can also be removed in visual identification processes such as: migration, customs or the police service inside the airport. Children under 3 years of age are exempt from using it as well as people who can medically show that they have a condition that causes the mask to affect them.
