RESPONSIBLE TOURISM: # ViajaMañana New UNWTO Campaign

Among the most promising activities to restore interpersonal relationships around the world is tourism. The world gradually gets moving again, and traveling responsibly will be part of the new challenge to safely reach your destination.

Restoring Confidence
This is the new currency of the “New Normal” according to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), so they have laid the groundwork for a Responsible Tourism Campaign, naming the Spanish soccer legend Iker Casillas, as Special Ambassador for Responsible Tourism.
The event was carried out through a videoconference, where the UNWTO secretary, Zurab Pololikashvili, presented a special plaque to virtually Casillas, thanking him for his support for tourism at critical moments, and joining other soccer figures such as Lionel Messi and Fernando Hierro. For his part, Casillas reiterated the motto of this organization: # ViajaMañana “It is better to stay home today, to be able to travel tomorrow”.

Sport and Tourism
Both promote the best of humanity, and the UNWTO is committed to uniting both forces against COVID-19, to generate confidence and resilience among the global community. Casillas will bring new ideas to promote responsible tourism, encouraging fans to travel and attend stadiums soon, abiding by the new rules of the game.
