Panama Black Weekend, a Success in Shopping and Tourism

Our country for a long time has been developing a high end shopping infraestrcutructure. Many malls have open throughout Panama City and in the past years in the country side of the republic. From fashion clothing, electronic devices, home appliances, toys, the local and foreign Visitors can find all they wants and more.
Noticing this strength the Association of Commercial Centers of Panama and the Panama Tourism Authority developed an international event, The Panama Black Weekend. This year will be the third version and will be held from September 13 to 15.

Incredible Discounts
Throughout three days, all types of stores, from small to huge anchors franchises will offer up to 70% in discounts, a unique opportunity to have some early christmas shopping or maybe get yourself that product you have always wanted but at an amazing price.

International Shopping
In 2018 the country launched an international advertising campaign along with tourist packages that included round trip flight, hotel and tours attracting around 32,000 Visitors from Mexico, Cuba, Trinidad and Tobago, Brazil, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Colombia. A good example of the success of this international sale it was Albrook Mall (the largest in Central America) that had 104,000 visits on the first day and 175,000 on the second. A 118% increase compare to a regular pay day weekend with discounts. In this event malls and commercial centers are not the only ones receiving benefits from this event, hotels, restaurants, transportation and artisans also have a great increase in their incomes.
At this sales party, all malls that are part of theb Association of Commercial Centers of Panama fully participate, here is the list: Westland Mall (at Arraijan, La Chorrera), Los Andes Mall, Soho City Center, Santiago Mall (Veraguas), Los Pueblos, Paseo Central (Chitre), Megamall, Atrio Mall, Balboa Boutiques, Alta Plaza, Town Centre y Albrook Mall.
