Aunque este año no se realicen las tradicionales fiestas panameñas de “carnavales” el turismo en la provincia de Chiriquí se activó y la ocupación hotelera llega casi al 100%.
Así lo manifestó el presidente de la Cámara de Turismo en la provincia de Chiriquí, Jorge Tovar, quien añadió que el viaje de turismo de recreación está tomando fuerza, lo cual es positivo para la industria que ha estado afectada por la crisis de la pandemia.
Agregó que solo en Boquete hay 900 camas disponibles formales en 250 habitaciones sin sumar el resto de los hospedajes no contabilizados (casas privadas, cabañas) y que estarán ocupados para el próximo fin de semana.
