El Valle de Anton, a Natural Destination with a Wide Variety of Activities to Enjoy 

El Valle de Anton is a town located in the Cocle mountains and located in the crater of a gigantic extinct volcano, surrounded by mountains and nature. Located at two and a half hours from Panama City, a destination surrounded by nature that offers a wide variety of tourist activities for all tastes.

Ideal Destination for Hiking

At El Valle de Anton it is possible to enjoy a guided nature walk. La Ruta de La Caldera Trail is a route of approximately 30 km that runs through the mountains and trails that surrounds El Valle de Anton, uniting several communities and the main natural attractions of the area. 

Another trail is the Pozo Azul Waterfall, located approximately 25 km away, one of the most popular in the area. This is due to its crystal blue waters and enchanting surroundings. 

The most popular trail is La India Dormida at El Valle de Anton. This section contains the most iconic attractions: La Piedra Pintada, the summit of India Dormida mountain and Chorro Las Mozas. Many climb to the top of India Dormida.

Canopy, a Flying Adventure on Top of El Valle 

This activity can be enjoyed in various places. The most famous zip line is the one located at Chorro Macho waterfall. After a 20 minutes walk through the forest, you reach the first of four platforms. In this adventure you fly between the trees of the cloud forest, where you can have an unparalleled view of the waterfall.

Fauna to Enjoy and Observe

At El Valle de Anton you can see different species of birds, mammals and reptiles in their natural state. Bird watching is one of the most popular activities among Visitors who want an immersive experience with nature. 

You can also visit El Nispero Zoo, one of the most popular attractions, where there are more than 90 species of animals including monkeys, toucans, ostriches and even jaguars. Another place to visit is the Butterfly Haven Garden, where you can learn and be surrounded by a wide variety of butterflies that live in El Valle.

A New Experience for Visitors 

Touring much of El Valle without needing a car is possible with the new experience of E-Valley Bikes, electric rental bicycles available to all Visitors. This new way of experiencing El Valle de Anton is ideal for exercising with less effort. 

How to Get to El Valle de Anton

It can be reached via the Pan-American Highway entering through Las Uvas. Once in Las Uvas, continue straight for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the entrance to El Valle. In this town there are a large number of hotels and restaurants to enjoy.
