La Artilleria Trail, Natural Adventure with Stunning Views of Boquete and Surroundings

If being surrounded by nature, taking long walks in the middle of the forest listening to its sounds or getting away from the modern world is what the Visitor is looking for, then La Artilleria Trail is a must visit place.


A Trail More Than 1,700 Mts Above Sea Level
Located in the Boquete Valley, on its eastern side, La Artilleria is located about 1,700 meters above sea level. In addition, it is part of Alto Jaramillo, also famous for its natural beauty.
When walking this path you can enjoy a very pleasant temperature, around 15 C. As you progress, you can see a great variety of plants, enjoy spectacular views and even encounter streams along the way.

Walk Through a Dense Cloud Forest
This is a trail that takes the Visitor in its first stage through a fascinating agricultural land where they learn about the crops and their importance to the locals. Afterwards, the path continues through an impressive cloud forest where there are trees with curious shapes, usually short and twisted. A unique spectacle to behold.


Discover Stunning Views
Upon arrival, a thick fog usually welcomes Visitors, the perfect opportunity to enjoy the peace that the natural environment offers. However, the best is its final stretch, where you walk towards a majestic volcanic rock formation. From this privileged point you can enjoy unforgettable views of the Baru Volcano, the Pacific Ocean and the unparalleled natural landscapes of Boquete. Of course, beneath the rock formation there is a mysterious cave that can be visited.

Visit La Artilleria
To get to La Artilleria you must go along the road towards the Hotel Los Establos and from where you leave the car it takes approximately three hours to walk. However, it is recommended to go with a local guide to fully enjoy this adventure that is worth experiencing.
