2 Mares Restaurant in Colon, 25 Years of the Most Delicious Caribbean Cuisine Specialized in Seafood

Leonardo Wood is a Colonense who has always liked being in direct contact with people of multiple cultures and ways of thinking. This relationship with people in a province with as much cultural diversity as Colon allowed this entrepreneur to interact with ingredients from different food preparations. One of the reasons why he decided to open 2 Mares restaurant back in 1995, located on 5th street and Avenida Bolívar. Today this restaurant is located in a larger location than where it started on Calle 5ta between Avenida Central and Justo Arosemena (near the Iglesia Catedral).

Caribbean Cuisine Specialized in Seafood

This restaurant specializes in Caribbean dishes, with seafood such as shrimp, octopus, prawns, and snails being highly requested dishes. They also offer fish in all its presentations as well as chicken and meat for those who want to try a different flavor.

Among the entries, this restaurant offers a variety of ceviches, cocktails and its famous cod pancakes. However, if what you want is to try local drinks from Colonia, you can enjoy the much-requested icinglass made from seaweed.

25 Years Maintaining the Same Flavor and Quality

2 Mares restaurant has more than 25 years offering its famous and highly requested preparations, always providing the meticulous service that only Colonenses know how to offer to local and foreign visitors. Similarly, in this quarter of a century Leonardo Woody has managed to maintain the quality of his delicious dishes as well as his affordable prices that continue to amaze despite time. All of this has helped them create a large, loyal customer base both in Panama and around the world.
