This venture arises from the times of the pandemic during a trip Mercedes Napolitano did to Tilcia Chong’s beach house, both were schoolmates and great friends today. In a conversation about what they would like to do in the future, Mercedes proposes to her dear friend to do a joint venture.
Road to Success
Both began making handbags, then hats made entirely by hand with beads, then masks, protectors for refrigerator handles and linings for appliances. From the latter they made hundreds and even videos on how to measure so customers could place their orders online. The passion and focus on details allowed each shipment to have a satisfactory destination that exceeded expectations.
The News that Inspires the Creation of MILA’S ARTS
One day Mercedes receives the news that she would be a grandmother, the moment that inspired her to start a new adventure with Tilcia…MILA´S ARTS. They began by making the entire crib set, sheets, accessories, suitcases, cases and changing table, the sampler of products that made them known.
One fine day a person suggested Mercedes to make suitcases, so they began to watch videos of how were made until they came out perfect and they started the process again. In the words of these entrepreneurs and artisans… “MILA’S ARTS was born from a need and has the objective of satisfying that need, one that is not found in the market, since it is impossible to go to the factory to tell them what you want and how it is that you want it exactly. This positioning gives more value to each product they make, unlike products in stores that are already made.
The Mission of this Enterprise
Mila’s Arts is focus on pleasing those mothers and grandmothers who love handmade products and where each one expresses with admiration how beautiful the final product looks.
Also, they are dedicated to making suitcases and all kinds of accessories to organize the baby’s things and that with a simple change of fabric and certain details can become accessories for the whole family.
Products Made from Ground Zero
The preparation of the products is made with supplies purchased locally and others brought from abroad. Each one is made from scratch, quilting the fabric, embroidering and lining with plastic. They have industrial machines that allow them to sew thick and unwieldy materials that can be done in a home sewing machine.
Satisfy the Wishes of Each Client
MILA’S ARTS philosophy is exclusively center on pleasing every customer who knocks on their door, with the best and above all with quality and good taste. They do not sell for the love of selling, they make what each client needs and making surf they like it very much. Many of their clients request suggestions for fabrics, colors and embroidery and others simply blindly trust the tastes of these two talented entrepreneurs.
The future plans of Mercedes and Tilcia are new product lines for brides and teenagers, both of which are in the initial design phase.
The communication that these entrepreneurs have with clients is solely and exclusively online, either by phone, Instagram or chat. Although both are aware that physical contact is important in a business relationship, the chemistry they achieve by offering their products makes it of great value.
