Metro Line Extension to Tocumen Airport, Will Change the Way Tourists Visit Panama City

Very soon, arriving on an international flight at Tocumen International Airport and visiting Panama City will be easy and fast, without the need to rent a car, take a taxi or wait for someone to pick you up. This is because the extension of Line 2 of the Panama Metro system that will connect with the airport and will run two kilometers from Corredor Sur station (south corridor station) already has more than 44% progress in its construction. This project places our capital city at the same level with the world’s great metropolises with direct connection to the airport, providing thousands of passengers, users or collaborators with a fast and efficient alternative to get to the airport.

The extension will have two passenger stations, one at ITSE (Technical Superior Institute) and the other at the air terminal, with a 94-meter-long side platform. This extension will be an elevated section like the rest of Metro Line 2 and will give everyone a new and economical option to access either Tocumen airport or Panama City.
