Ultra Low Cost Airline Begins its First Route to David City on August 11

Wingo airline announced its first domestic route in Panama, from the Panama Pacifico Airport, located 15 minutes from the center of the capital, to the city of David, Chiriquí province.
With this new route, which will start on August 11, operating two weekly flights (Fridays and Sundays), Wingo becomes the first ultra-low-cost airline to operate a domestic route in Panama. In addition, this company strengthens its operation in the country from where it already offers low-cost flights to seven international destinations: Barranquilla, Cartagena, Bogotá, Medellín and Cali, in Colombia, as well as Havana, Cuba, and San Jose in Costa Rica.
Panama has always been an important market for this airline and for this reason they are growing in Panama, offering more connectivity alternatives for Panamanians and foreigners residing or visiting the country. This first domestic operation to David that, added to the seven international routes, reflects the relevance of the Panamanian market in the business strategy of this airline and that will help the growth of oca and foreign tourism in this region of the country.
The route will begin sales with promotional launch fares of USD 49 each way, with two flights a week, on Fridays and Sundays.
It is important to highlight that the Panama Pacifico-David route will be the first to be operated by Wingo Panama; an airline with a Panamanian operating certificate and endorsed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Panama.
