A while back this beach was one of Pedasi’s best kept secrets. However, in the last decade it has become a place that attracts a large number of tourists, especially the youngest who seek its famous waves to practice “surf”.
Located Far from the Stress and Close to Paradise
Playa Venao is located on the Pacific Ocean coast, specifically in the southern tip of the Province of Los Santos, and within what is known as the dry arc, the driest sector of the country. This tropical paradise is 30 minutes by car from the town of Pedasi and 5 hours from Panama City.
This golden and black sand beach is surrounded by hills that from the top allow you to see the entire beach within a small bay. And from where you can also watch restaurants, cafes, beach bars, hotels and resorts that go along the entire beach.

Primarily a vacation destination, Playa Venao is also home to a growing community of more than 350 full-time foreign residents. You can also travel to Chitre Town, which is one hour and 45 minutes away, where you have access to shopping centers, extensive professional services, and more amenities.
Nightlife on the Beach
In Playa Venao you can enjoy a perfect sunset, since its nightlife is very lively and active, with a large number of bars that offer drinks and cocktails for all tastes. They also have music of all kinds, DJ’s and live music bands. People from Pedasi and surrounding areas come to Venao for a unique beach party, sometimes even until dawn.
