Boquete Will Become an International Musical Destination with Patricia Vlieg in Concert on September 18

In this concert, Patricia Vlieg will explore various themes: landscapes of the heart, loves and heartbreaks, contradictions and legacies. The songs are bridges and starting points to establish an encounter between performers and audience, creating a space of intimacy, reflection and rejoicing.

This concert in Boquete is a celebration ofPanama’s identities, contributions, stories and memories through the songs that represent us; a way of telling and recognizing ourselves; an experience to generate dialogue and combine knowledge, sensations and feelings in a musical embrace.

Panamanian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, musical researcher and lecturer Patricia Vlieg, Internationally acclaimed soloist, she has performed in several countries: Argentina, Brasil, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, United States, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Japan among others.

Her latest work, Cabanga, explores and elaborates on Panamanian folk and art songs. Patricia Vlieg, gracefully combines elements of the Panamanian music with those of jazz, classical, and other Latin American musical traditions. 

Patricia Vlieg is the host and creator of a weekly series “Puentes y Diálogos” where she conducts interviews as well as artistic collaborations, seeking to generate knowledge exchange that enhances human, interdisciplinary and intercultural connection.

Recently created a series of concerts born from the need to express our creative freedom through jazz and honor the legacy of great composers, vocalists and instrumentalists. 

Patricia Vlieg, along with her group of musicians, delighted officials of CAF, Development Bank of Latin America, ministers of economy of different countries in the region and the general public at the gala concert “Panama inspires us”, which was held at the Anayansi Theater of the Atlapa Convention Center where the 25th anniversary of CAF action in Panama was celebrated.
