This is the first time that Panama has managed to position itself in this important international event. Panamanian cocoa continues to demonstrate its quality internationally. Three samples of Panamanian cocoa, produced in the province of Bocas del Toro, received the bronze distinction in the Cocoa of Excellence Awards 2021, in Italy, within the category of Central America and the Caribbean. Panamanian cocoa achieves this distinction, after highlighting Among the top 50 in the world in the prestigious competition on cocoa of excellence worldwide, Cocoa of Excellence, this being the first time that the country has managed to position itself in this important international competition.
