The love for cooking is undoubtedly the most important reason for Irma Batista and Felix Martinez to carry this venture forward. This deep feeling plus the good comments from customers who receive and try their products, adds an ingredient that can only predict success.
Delicious Idea
Casolana was born at the end of April 2020, in the middle of the pandemic with the association of Irma and Felix, who together created products such as puff pastry dough (hojaldre) and chimichurri. They began to offer it to their family and close friends and it was so successful that the idea of opening Casolana arose, with the aim of Racing out to new customers.
Sale of Artisanal Food Products
Casolana is dedicated to the production and sale of artisan food products made by hand by its two entrepreneurs. Besides its two flagship products that they started selling, they also offer: corn rings, smoked pork, table sausages, artisanal white cheese, sangrias, saril drink, orange beverage, Baileys flan, banana bread, artisan breads among others products.
Introducing New Ideas
Casolana never stops and have set their focus on innovating according to the market and season to offer its customers quality products and above all, always made with love.
During November 2020, the idea arose to sell traditional Panamanian food trays ready to eat and deliver to homes or offices, accompanied with corn ring, chorizo tableño (Sausage from Las Tablas Town), puff pastry, white cheese or smoked pork, additional corn cakes and fried yucca if wanted. In December they decided to adapt to the season by creating their first artisan rum punch recipe made with organic eggs.
Refreshing Summer
For the summer of this year, they have just started adding the Don Jose saríl drink , an Irma’s grandfather’s receipt who is also the one who makes it, and the “choripack” a box of 5 choripans to make at home to enjoy with your family bubble.
An Idea that Unites the Whole Family More
This endeavor has brought the family closer together, as everyone contributes, from the siblings to the parents, they have supported a lot so that this endeavor is carried out perfectly.
If God allows them, they want to open their Shop/Catering Place, and be able to open it at the beautiful North Panama area to expand their market.
