This small endeavor started in times of the Pandemic. For its founder Milagros Vargas Milord, plants were an escape from anxiety and depression during these uncertain times. During this period, trying new things in the kitchen and plants were lifesavers for many people. Exchanging and buying plants is a trend these days, for this reason she dared to promote plants in a different way and at the same time making them beautiful to decorate interior spaces at any home.
Creating a Natural Habitat
At Miracle Land, Kokedamas are made, which are handmade natural plants following the traditional Japanese technique, which consists of housing the plant in an organic pot made of moss in the shape of a ball, hence its name KOKE (moss) DAMA (ball). Sister of the Bonsai technique, Kokedama tries to recreate a natural habitat through a living pot. Which allows to bring a little nature to homes and gardens in an ecological and decorative way.
Specials for Mother’s Day
For Mother’s Day and Christmas, Miracle Land will make “Gift Boxes”, which will have a spectacular Kokedama, chocolates, personalized glass cup, wine and earrings or artisan scrub made of coffee or olives stuffed with salmon. The earrings and scrub is in association with MH Desing and Indigo Soap startups.
Quite a Challenge at the Beginning
When the founder started this endeavor, she had to evaluate it a lot since the first time she applied the technique, she was muddy up to the eyelashes, as was the parking lot of her house. Not only do the Kokedama, but because of the house cleaning.
Future Plans.
Set up a small store where Kokedamas can be made and sold.
For the founder of Mirarle Land, society is going through difficult times, losing loved ones or having them fighting for their lives that giving life is what we all need.
