APEDE Requests to Carry Out a Financial Assistance Plan for Economic Recovery

The Panamanian Association of Business Executives made a request to the government, among other economic and social matters to establish a detailed plan for Emergency Financial Assistance through the banking sector to facilitate actions for the reopening and economic recovery of the most affected sectors and companies.
The Guild emphasized that the public, business and labor sectors work on pragmatic and constructive proposals, away from political positions, that allow bilateral labor arrangements, designed to preserve employment and the economy in general.
The executives close by saying that Panama has been and always will be a resilient nation, with committed Panamanians, who unite in the face of adversity. For APEDE, if the country acts quickly and above all transparency to avoid a crisis in the health system at the same time as it works to prevent an economic crisis, it will be able to move forward strengthened. Today more than ever, it is key that all the country’s living forces join forces with a single objective: to build a new country, inclusive, equitable, productive and sustainable.
