5th International Tourism and Business Congress will Make Panama the Regional Tourism Capital

From October 2-6, 2025, Panama will become the focal point of the continent’s tourism industry by hosting the 5th International Tourism and Business Congress, under the theme “Tourism, Gastronomy, and Culture as Cross-Cutting Axes of a Country’s Economy”. This event, which will take place at Panama Hotel by Grand Faranda, will bring together representatives from 18 countries to promote the sustainable, inclusive, and innovative development of regional tourism.

A Platform for the Growth of the MICE Sector

With the support of the Government of Panama and the organization of Dominican businesses led by the tourism company Carmen Travel Agency, the congress is designed as an educational and business platform for the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) sector. This congress will feature conferences, business roundtables, training sessions, and specialized workshops that will promote professional development and the creation of strategic alliances among key industry players.

Tourism, Culture, and Gastronomy

The agenda includes the creation of three thematic rooms—Tourism, Gastronomy, and Business—where topics such as tourism sustainability, competitiveness, inclusive tourism, and emerging trends will be addressed. One of the highlights will be the International Student Folkloric Dance Festival, featuring artists from Panama, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Colombia, who will showcase the region’s cultural richness.

A Sensory and Educational Experience

The event will also offer tourism activities to discover Panama’s natural and heritage treasures, consolidating its image as an ideal destination for event tourism. Furthermore, the closing dinner and closing party will be a true celebration of the gastronomic and cultural diversity of the participating countries.

Promoters of Action for the Future of Tourism

The organizers of this congress emphasize that the objective of it is for participants to become promoters of awareness and transformation, building new scenarios for regional tourism. The integration of universities, colleges, and artistic groups will reinforce the vision of tourism that unites nations and fosters comprehensive development.

Panama 2025 will be a starting point for rethinking tourism as an economic, social, and cultural driver for countries in the region.
