A delegation of Panamanian specialty coffee producers, alongside representatives the Specialty Coffee Association of Panama (SCAP) and the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP), presented the richness of Panama’s coffee origin to buyers, roasters, baristas and industry professionals from across the world.
During the event, Panama presented the World of Coffee Panama 2026, which will take place from October 23 – 25, 2026, at the Panama Convention Center. This historic edition marks the first time the event will take place in Latin America and will also be the official host of the World Barista Championship, the most prestigious global coffee competition.
The Panamanian delegation offered the global coffee community early access to participation opportunities in Roaster Village, Cupping Rooms, general exhibition areas, and other key event platforms.
From Origin to Excellence: Panama’s Coffee Story
Grown in the highlands of Boquete, Tierras Altas, and Renacimiento in the province of Chiriquí, Panamanian coffee benefits from a privileged natural environment. Volcanic soils, ideal altitudes, and unique microclimates created by the proximity of both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans contribute to producing coffees with floral, fruity, and exotic profiles highly sought after by cuppers and connoisseurs around the world.
Panama’s coffee is not just a product — it is a story of biodiversity, identity, and sustainability, cultivated with care through responsible farming practices that preserve the land, protect forests, and ensure full traceability from crop to cup.
