Every year, the tourism industry gathers around a large annual convention to strengthen ties and introduce innovative ideas that allow its growth and development. The National Tourism Convention (CONATUR) which will take place on September 26 and 27 and organized by the National Chamber of Tourism (CAMTUR) is the event that brings together every year all the key actors in the tourism sector, including representatives of the government and the private enterprise. It is the ideal platform to exchange experiences, strengthen the unity of the sector and discuss current issues that help identify the priority needs of the tourism industry. Likewise, through work tables, participants look for solutions that help draw a roadmap for the future of tourism in Panama.

An Event That Will Increase the Number of Participants
CONATUR 2024, in its search to increase and include the entire tourism value chain throughout the country, selected the city of David in Chiriqui, as the epicenter of tourism. This decision has the objective of strengthening the space for dialogue between actors from the private sector, public sector and educational, implementing the Sustainable Tourism Master Plan, which is an integral part of the National Strategic Plan 2030. During this event, to be held specifically at Federal Mall, presentations, exhibitions, workshops and more will be held that will allow participants to learn about the latest trends in the sector.

Strengthening Commercial Alliances at Trade Expo
One of the main attractions of CONATUR 2024 will be the Trade Expo, an exhibition designed to bring together the entire tourism value chain in one place. This space will allow companies and representatives of the sector to exhibit their products and services, establish new commercial alliances and strengthen existing ones. The Trade Expo will become a meeting point for participants to explore business opportunities, exchange ideas and discover the latest innovations in the industry.

Policy Assessment and Market Trends
The National Tourism Summit will also be held within CONATUR 2024, a strategic forum where sector leaders will discuss and evaluate public policies, market trends and innovations that are shaping the future of tourism in Panama. The summit will allow participants to exchange knowledge and experiences and contribute to the formulation of strategies that promote the sustainable development of tourism in the country.
