The Government of Panama has extended to 12 hours the layover for passengers who must transit through Tocumen International Airport from the six hours, stipulated at the beginning of October when commercial flights were reactivated. Authorities ratify the extension of the transit time, which had been reduced to six hours in October when commercial aviation resumed and which was harshly criticized by the agency sector. Travel agents felt that this short period of time for transit prevented many passengers from being able to make an ‘overnight’ or a long stay of less than 24 hours in Panama.
