Luis Eleta, Comercial Director of the Panamanian airline, commented that Air Panama started daily flights to David, Chiriqui and Bocas del Toro, specifically Isla Colon and Changuinola towns, the first 15 days. As of October 11, they will add a flight to Chitre City and the flight to David will be increased to two on a daily basis.
For Air Panama, Biosecurity is vital for the success of this reopening, that is why they have a robust deep cleaning plan and the nebulization of the planes after each flight. Likewise, the use of masks will be mandatory and they will be implementing a new Web Check-in system for passengers to purchase the ticket and have it either printed or in their cellphone. Luis Eleta emphasizes that airplanes have HEPA Filters (High Efficiency Particulate Air), high efficiency filters that allow much smaller particles to be retained in their system so that the air that each passenger breathes is healthy and pure.
Of course, all passengers who had tickets reserved before March 31 will be able to schedule their flight without any type of penalty.
