The province of Los Santos has always stood out for the celebration of folkloric festivities that promotes the customs and history of this region of Azuero Province. Since 1990, the District of Pedasi has been celebrating the Wagons, Culture, Folklore and the Loose Bull Parade, an event created by the Pedasi Junior highschool, with the aim of motivating and teaching youth about traditions and national folklore.

First Release of the Bull
The festival from its beginning was very popular among locals and the Visitors who arrived during the celebrations. However, it was not until 1994 that a bull was let loose on the streets of Pedasi. This initiative, promoted by the Cano family and ranchers in the region, attracted a lot of public attention, increasing the success of the festival, awarding the Damas Pedasieñas Unidas to be in charge of the organizations of this event.
After 15 years of holding this festivity, it was selected its first queen in the year 2005, being selected Miss Ana Cristina Pinzon, who led the parade.

Festivity with Multiple Activities for Everyone
This year the Wagons, Culture, Folklore and Loose Bull Parade will take place from October 24 to 26 and will have SM Larissa Mixel Cedeño Vergara as queen of the festivity. During the Torito Suelto celebrations, the public enjoys fireworks, artistic and cultural presentations, dances, and a wagon parade on the streets of Pedasi.
Celebration that Promotes Tourism
The Pedasi District takes advantage of this celebration to attract the arrival of national and foreign tourists, which generates an economic impact that includes hotels, restaurants, “fondas” that offer the typical cuisine of the region, artisans and even street vendors.
