Panamanian Cacao Participates in the Cocoa of Excellence 2021

The quality and flavor of Panamanian cacao will be evaluated by industry experts in the “Cocoa of Excellence 2021”, in which the best of the cacao production worldwide converges. This is after participating in the “International Cocoa Awards” (ICA).
The samples will be sent soon, through the MICI and the ProPanama agency to Rome, Italy, and it is expected that the country can reach a good position in this competition, since this product is highly valued in international markets.
From January to September 2020, 333.4 kilos of cocoa were exported with a total value of $ 1.2 million to countries such as Germany, which is the main destination with a 74% share; Belgium with 20% and South Africa with 4%.
