The president of Panama confirmed that the construction of Line 3 of the Panama Metro will begin during the first quarter of next year 2021.
Cortizo announced the start date of the project during the inauguration of a business forum, after the Panama Metro and the Korean consortium HPH Joint Venture – made up of Hyundai – signed the contract to carry out the underground project of Line 3, eight months after its approval, a redesign process and with several claims.
Line 3 will be a six-car monorail that will travel 25 kilometers and 14 stations in 45 minutes. It will connect the province of Panama (from Line 1 of the Metro) with West Panama.
The contractor will build Line 3 of the Metro with a $ 2,396.7 million investment in a 54 months period.
