Su\ncompromiso social la ha llevado a ser voluntaria en organizaciones sin fines de\nlucro y a participar en organizaciones como Sumarse, Amcham y APEDE, C\u00e1mara de Comercio, siendo el Presidente de\nesta \u00faltima Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Icaza, quien le ofreci\u00f3 toda su confianza para organizar\nExpoTurismo 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bf<strong>Cu\u00e1l es su\nopini\u00f3n de c\u00f3mo el turismo ha sido manejado y potenciado en los \u00faltimos tres\na\u00f1os antes de la pandemia?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLa C\u00e1mara de Comercio,\nIndustrias y Agricultura de Panam\u00e1 (CCIAP) a trav\u00e9s de su Agenda Pa\u00eds 2019-2024\nha propuesto acciones concretas a ejecutar a corto y mediano plazo, a fin de\nmantener el turismo como prioridad en este quinquenio. Con ese prop\u00f3sito, este\ngremio ha participado en reuniones de trabajo con los principales actores del\nsector privado y las autoridades gubernamentales, con miras a articular todos\nlos esfuerzos que conduzcan a una reactivaci\u00f3n vigorosa de la actividad\ntur\u00edstica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre las acciones\nrecomendadas, se reafirm\u00f3 la necesidad de asegurar los recursos del Fondo Mixto\nde Promoci\u00f3n Tur\u00edstica; as\u00ed como la formalizaci\u00f3n de la administraci\u00f3n del\nCentro de Convenciones de Amador. Dos iniciativas que han empezado a rendir\nfruto. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, se\npresent\u00f3 el Plan Maestro de Turismo Sostenible 2021 \u2013 2025 el cual da la ruta a\nseguir y Promtur Panam\u00e1 ha presentado la marca tur\u00edstica \u201cVive por M\u00e1s\u201d que nos\nayuda a posicionar el pa\u00eds en los mercados objetivos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahora la tarea es atraer a los viajeros a nuestro pa\u00eds y presentarles\nproductos atractivos y seguros, para que se enamoren de Panam\u00e1 y todo lo que\ntenemos para ofrecer\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Siendo Gerente de una empresa de Relaciones P\u00fablicas, \u00bfc\u00f3mo este brazo\ntan importante de la comunicaci\u00f3n puede ser utilizado de forma m\u00e1s eficaz en\nfavor de nuestro turismo y qu\u00e9 objetivos piensa se pueden alcanzar?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPanam\u00e1 es un destino \u00fanico, con una oferta tur\u00edstica\ninigualable.&nbsp;Las Relaciones P\u00fablicas son sin duda una herramienta muy\npoderosa a la hora de promovernos como destino, tanto local como\ninternacionalmente.&nbsp; Es indispensable seguir promoviendo Panam\u00e1 a trav\u00e9s\nde los diferentes medios de comunicaci\u00f3n, tanto tradicionales como digitales,\npara llegar a la mayor cantidad de audiencias posibles y despertar el inter\u00e9s\nen los viajeros de que nos vengan a conocer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El a\u00f1o pasado lanzamos la Marca Tur\u00edstica, Panam\u00e1 Vive por M\u00e1s, que es\nsin duda una herramienta comunicacional indispensable para la promoci\u00f3n de\nnuestro destino. El objetivo es que recibamos turistas, tanto de ocio y aventura\ncomo de conferencias y eventos y que no solo vengan, sino que quieran regresar\ny adem\u00e1s nos recomienden.&nbsp;&nbsp;No tengo la menor duda de que podemos&nbsp;constituirnos\nen el mejor destino de turismo sostenible de la regi\u00f3n\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 le ha impulsado a liderar la organizaci\u00f3n del evento m\u00e1s importante\ndel turismo nacional: Expo Turismo 2022 \u00bfCu\u00e1les gremios tur\u00edsticos apoyan esta\nferia?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEl turismo me apasiona, y soy fiel creyente de que es un sector que\ntiene mucho que ofrecer. Por lo que cuando la Junta Directiva presidida por Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Icaza, me dio\nla oportunidad de asumir este reto de ser la presidenta de la Comisi\u00f3n\nOrganizadora de EXPO TURISMO Internacional, lo asum\u00ed con mucho entusiasmo\nporque estoy comprometida a trabajar sin descanso para marcar la diferencia y\nm\u00e1s cuando se trata de uno de los sectores productivos que genera grandes\naportes a la econom\u00eda nacional y que en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os y con la pandemia fue\nduramente golpeado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, cuento con el invaluable apoyo de la asesora Annette C\u00e1rdenas y\nel director del Grupo No. 13 de Turismo y Esparcimiento, Jos\u00e9 Rodolfo de la\nGuardia, qui\u00e9nes son expertos en esta industria y nos est\u00e1n acompa\u00f1ando para\nhacer de edici\u00f3n de la feria, un rotundo \u00e9xito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta und\u00e9cima edici\u00f3n de EXPO TURISMO Internacional 2022, se\ndesarrollar\u00e1 el 25 y 26 de marzo y es organizada por la C\u00e1mara de Comercio,\nIndustrias y Agricultura de Panam\u00e1 (CCIAP), adem\u00e1s, cuenta con el apoyo de la\nAsociaci\u00f3n Paname\u00f1a de Hoteles (APATEL), el Fondo de Promoci\u00f3n Tur\u00edstica\n(Promtur Panam\u00e1), la Autoridad de Turismo de Panam\u00e1 (ATP) y Panama Convention\nCenter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De igual forma, contaremos con Burcin Turkkan, presidente.de SKAL\nINTERNATIONAL, que es una organizaci\u00f3n profesional de l\u00edderes tur\u00edsticos de\ntodo el mundo, que promueve el turismo global y la amistad\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1les novedades trae Expo Turismo este a\u00f1o y qu\u00e9 expectativas tienen?&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta feria est\u00e1\nenfocada en turismo de reuniones, convenciones y eventos; adem\u00e1s, en ocio,\naventuras y productos multidestino. La novedad de este a\u00f1o es el\nestablecimiento de alianzas estrat\u00e9gicas con empresas internacionales de la\ntalla de Travel Konnections, Destination Marketing and Events Experts; as\u00ed\ncomo, Meetings Panam\u00e1 con el fin de buscar nuevos compradores especializados en\nestos segmentos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El 25 de marzo, el primer d\u00eda de EXPO TURISMO Internacional \u2013 el\nprograma, adem\u00e1s de contar con el \u00e1rea de exhibici\u00f3n exclusiva para compradores\ny expositores, incluye la conferencia inaugural dictada por Burcin Turkkan,\npresidente de SKAL INTERNATIONAL, donde se abordar\u00e1n temas como, tendencias del\nturismo postpandemia, reingenier\u00eda en empresas tur\u00edsticas y transformaci\u00f3n\ndigital en el turismo, entre otros. Terminando la jornada con citas de\nnegocios, un c\u00f3ctel y Networking ofrecido por el Hotel J.W. The guest to expand on this topic is Monique de\nSaint Malo, a social communicator with a Master&#8217;s in Education, who has worked\nas a teacher in prestigious schools in the country, as well as general manager\nof a leading public relations firm in Panama. This duality has allowed her to\ndevelop collaborative work, commitment and understanding with the groups of\npeople she has led throughout her professional career. Her social commitment\nhas led her to volunteer in non-profit organizations and to participate in\norganizations such as Sumarse, Amcham, APEDE, the Chamber of Commerce, the President of the\nlatter being Jose Ramon Icaza, who offered her all his trust to organize\nExpoTurismo 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is your opinion of how tourism has been managed and promoted in the\nlast three years before the pandemic?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP)\nthrough its Country Agenda 2019-2024 has proposed concrete actions to be carried\nout in the short and medium term, in order to keep tourism as a priority in\nthis five-year period. For this purpose, this union has participated in workshop\nmeetings with the main actors of the private sector and government authorities,\nto articulating all the efforts that lead to a vigorous reactivation of the\ntourism activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the recommended actions, the need to ensure the resources of the\nMixed Fund for Tourism Promotion was reaffirmed; as well as the formalization\nof the administration of the Amador Convention Center. Two initiatives that\nhave begun to have positive results\nthat can be perceived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the Master Plan for Sustainable Tourism 2021 &#8211; 2025 was\npresented, which gives the route to follow and Promtur Panama has presented the\n&#8220;Live for More&#8221; tourism brand that helps us position the country in\nthe target markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now the task is to attract travelers to our country and present them\nwith attractive and safe products, so that they fall in love with Panama and\nall that we have to offer\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Being the Manager of a Public Relations company, how can this important\narm of communication be used more effectively in favor of our tourism and what\nobjectives do you think can be achieved?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPanama is a unique destination, with an incomparable tourist offer.\nPublic Relations are undoubtedly a very powerful tool when it comes to\npromoting ourselves as a destination, both locally and internationally. It is\nessential to continue promoting Panama through the different media, both\ntraditional and digital, to reach as many audiences as possible and motive tourist\nto come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year we launched the Tourism Brand, Panama Lives for More, which is\nundoubtedly an essential communication tool for the promotion of our\ndestination. The objective is that we receive tourists, both for leisure and\nadventure, as well as for conferences and events, and that they not only come,\nbut want to return and also recommend us. I have no doubt that we can become\nthe best sustainable tourism destination in the region\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What has inspired you to lead the organization of the most important\nnational tourism event: Expo Turismo 2022, and Which tourism associations\nsupport this fair?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI am passionate about tourism, and I am a believer that it is a sector\nthat has a lot to offer. So when the Board of Directors, lead by Jose Ramon\nIcaza, gave me the opportunity to take on this challenge of being the president\nof the Organizing Committee of EXPO TURISMO Internacional, I took it on with\ngreat enthusiasm because I am committed to working tirelessly to make a\ndifference and even more when it comes to one of the productive sectors that\ngenerates large contributions to the national economy and that in recent years\nand with the pandemic has been hit hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, I have the invaluable support of Annette Cardenas and the\ndirector of the Tourism and Leisure Group No. 13, Jose Rodolfo de la Guardia,\nwho are experts in this industry and are supporting us to make this event a\nresounding success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This eleventh edition of EXPO TURISMO Internacional 2022 will take place\non March 25 and 26 and is organized by the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and\nAgriculture of Panama (CCIAP), in addition, it has the support of the\nPanamanian Association of Hotels (APATEL) , the Tourism Promotion Fund (Promtur\nPanama), the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP) and the Panama Convention Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, we will have Burcin Turkkan, president of SKAL INTERNATIONAL,\nwhich is a professional organization of tourism leaders from around the world,\nwhich promotes global tourism and friendship\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What novelties does Expo Turismo bring this year and what are your\nexpectations?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis fair is focused on tourism for meetings, conventions and events;\nalso, in leisure, adventures and multi-destination products. The novelty this\nyear is the establishment of strategic alliances with international companies\nsuch as Travel Konnections, Destination Marketing and Events Experts; as well\nas Meetings Panama in order to find new specialized buyers in these segments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On March 25, the first day of EXPO TURISMO Internacional \u2013 the program,\nin addition to having the exclusive exhibition area for buyers and exhibitors,\nincludes the inaugural conference given by Burcin Turkkan, president of SKAL\nINTERNATIONAL, where topics such as, Post-pandemic tourism trends,\nReengineering in tourism companies and Digital Transformation in tourism, among\nothers. Ending the day with business appointments, a cocktail and Networking\noffered by the Hotel J.W.
