In commemoration of the 174th anniversary of the province of Col\u00f3n, the Reto por Col\u00f3n Foundation will host the Sabores de Col\u00f3n festival on Saturday, February 28th and Sunday, March 1st at the Col\u00f3n Center for Art and Culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This festival of Col\u00f3n’s gastronomy and culture highlights the province’s Afro-Caribbean heritage and the talent of its entrepreneurs. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., solidifying this iconic space as the epicenter of local flavor and creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For two days, the public can enjoy a wide selection of iconic Colon dishes such as coconut rice, fried fish with plantains, pati, plantinta, saos, and other traditional recipes that have made the region’s gastronomy famous. Sabores de Colon has established itself as a platform for entrepreneurs, traditional cooks, young chefs, and others to present their culinary creations, combining inherited recipes with contemporary innovations without losing the essence of Colon’s flavor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
