While every citizen should always keep them in mind, in Panama they are honored on November 4th, as these are the elements that mark a series of events that gave rise to our Republican life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through Law 34 of 1949, Panama adopted the following as the Symbols of the Nation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevisitorpanama.info\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/significado-los-colores-la-bandera-panama.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9009\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thevisitorpanama.info\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/significado-los-colores-la-bandera-panama.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.thevisitorpanama.info\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/significado-los-colores-la-bandera-panama-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>National Flag:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Divided into four quarters, its beautiful tricolor (blue, red, and white) represents us around the world. It was designed by Manuel E. Amador, while the first Panamanian flag was sewn by Mar\u00eda Ossa de Amador. In its quadrants, the Conservative Party is represented by the color blue, and the Liberal Party by red, while white symbolizes the peace and unity that should prevail in the nation. The blue star represents purity and honesty, which should guide the civic life of the homeland, and the red star stands for authority and law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1554\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevisitorpanama.info\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/i-2592-cG.32597.1.png.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9011\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thevisitorpanama.info\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/i-2592-cG.32597.1.png.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.thevisitorpanama.info\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/i-2592-cG.32597.1.png-768x995.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.thevisitorpanama.info\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/i-2592-cG.32597.1.png-1186x1536.jpg 1186w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>National Coat of Arms:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born from the originality, creativity, and precision of Don Nicanor Villalaz, its design captures the key moments of our history\u2014from Panama\u2019s separation from Colombia on that afternoon in 1903, to the nation\u2019s wealth, progress, nature, and the struggles of countless Panamanians of that era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"364\" height=\"549\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thevisitorpanama.info\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/images-4.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9012\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>National Anthem:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its melody and lyrics express the feelings, ideals, and hopes of all Panamanians.
