ATP General Manager Iv\u00e1n Eskildsen noted that the institution is focused on strategies to encourage internal Post-Covid tourism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thevisitorpanama.info\/esp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/FOTO-SUBADMINISTRADORA-1024x682-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9774\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;With this next promotional piece we want to connect the tourist emotionally with our tourist attractions, telling them stories about destinations, so that when the Ministry of Health (MINSA) allows tourist activities, we will have a step forward in that target market.&#8221;   He said that the promotion will show the potential traveler how they can enjoy tourism outdoors and with social distance, exploring protected areas, trails, our unspoilt nature, our beaches, practicing ecotourism, agrotourism, among other activities, as long as the sanitary fences are lifted and there is no risk to the health of the population.   &#8220;The head of the ATP highlighted that, according to different studies, the population in the range of 30-45 years (in pairs, without children) will have more confidence and greater possibilities of traveling, in the first post-covid months.&#8221;   The regent of the tourist activity stated the above during the opening session of the virtual workshop: \u201cMunicipal tourist management against Covid 19\u201d, organized by the ATP, in which the topics were addressed: \u201cCovid 19 a global reality: how are we doing? preparing the return? &#8220;,&#8221; Update of the Master Plan for Sustainable Tourism 2020-2025 &#8220;,&#8221; The importance of planning in legal territories &#8220;and&#8221; Municipal tourist management &#8220;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eskildsen se\u00f1al\u00f3 que la entidad tambi\u00e9n trabaja en estrategias enfocadas en turismo, conservaci\u00f3n e investigaci\u00f3n (TCI), as\u00ed como en sostenibilidad, seguridad e infraestructura, que es una modalidad de posicionamiento que se ha retomado despu\u00e9s de 20 a\u00f1os y que es importante que la conozcan los municipios. &nbsp; Tambi\u00e9n mencion\u00f3 que las estrategias macro van a traducirse en un plan de acci\u00f3n nacional, m\u00e1s ocho planes individuales en cada uno de los destinos prioritarios: Bocas del Toro, Boquete y Tierras Altas, Santa Catalina, Pedas\u00ed, Riviera Pacifica, Ciudad de Panam\u00e1, Taboga y Portobelo, cada uno con su estrategia, que luego se integrar\u00e1n para trabajar junto al Fondo de Promoci\u00f3n Tur\u00edstica Internacional (PROMTUR), los elementos de Panam\u00e1 que se desean proyectar al mundo. &nbsp; Augusto Hu\u00e9scar, consultor de la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial del Turismo (OMT), que tiene bajo su responsabilidad la actualizaci\u00f3n&nbsp; del&nbsp; Plan Maestro de Turismo Sostenible de Panam\u00e1 para el 2020-2025, dijo que es prioritario que los municipios le den importancia a la planificaci\u00f3n tur\u00edstica y se empoderen de las estrategias que se traducen en derrama econ\u00f3mica. &nbsp; Por su parte, el director ejecutivo de la Asociaci\u00f3n de Municipios de Panam\u00e1 (AMUPA), Jorge Ricardo Panay, considera que la alianza entre la ATP con los municipios es clave para el \u00e9xito de la recuperaci\u00f3n tur\u00edstica econ\u00f3mica de Panam\u00e1. \u201cNo hay desarrollo tur\u00edstico local exitoso sin un desarrollo tur\u00edstico nacional exitoso&#8221;. &nbsp; Panay recomend\u00f3 a los gobiernos locales a promover el desarrollo sostenible, potenciar la capacitaci\u00f3n del recurso humano y a mejorar las infraestructuras. &nbsp; \u201cCon la pandemia surgi\u00f3 la oportunidad, de convertir a Panam\u00e1 en un pa\u00eds descentralizado, con procesos de desarrollo econ\u00f3mico locales capaces de producir sostenibilidad a largo plazo\u201d, resalt\u00f3. &nbsp; El secretario ejecutivo de descentralizaci\u00f3n, Francisco Vigil, indic\u00f3, que el plan de fortalecimiento a los municipios tur\u00edsticos del pa\u00eds, iniciando por los prioritarios, es un paso en firme en la descentralizaci\u00f3n, lo que se traduce en autonom\u00eda para los municipios, permiti\u00e9ndoles fortalecer y explotar su potencial. &nbsp; En este taller virtual participaron municipios de las 10 provincias del pa\u00eds.
