Among\nthem, fried yucca and corn tortillas, which in Panama are thicker and almost\nlook like buns. Both are accompanied with any type of meat stew. However, there\nare other more elaborate ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fried Cobo: <\/strong>The Cobo is a\nsea snail without a shell. This touch of coconut makes it stand out\nfrom the guacho because of its flavor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sancocho<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another of the typical dishes\nto eat in Panama. To prepare this dish, a seafood or fish soup is\ncooked with vegetables and tubers, to which spices, sweet chili peppers, green\nbananas and coconut milk are added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Saus<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pork lovers should try this\nclassic of Panamanian cuisine. The saus, consists of a dish of pickled pig feet\nwith spicy sauce. Its origin comes from the Afro-Caribbean tradition and you\ncan try it mainly during the Bocas de Toro and Portobelo festivals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mondongo a la\nCulona<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this original name, the\nPanamanians baptized this culinary invention, a mixture of flavors with an\nexceptional result. A broth is prepared with beef tripe, chorizo, onions,\nchili, cilantro, garlic, tomatoes, peas and carrots. To make Panamanian tamales, hen\nor chicken, corn, tomatoes, capers, onion, cilantro, peppers and banana or\nBijao leaves are used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ceviche<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is one of the tastiest\ntypical dishes of Panama. Its flavor is sweet and acid at the same time, and to\nprepare it, Panamanians marinate fish or shellfish with lemon.
